I’m pleased to share with donors an update about the impact of your support to The Resiliency Fund. As of today, we have raised over $20,000 through The Resiliency Fund through our generous MCLA community! Efforts have been supplemented by the MCLA Food Security Fund donations and other Foundation funds. To date, we have disbursed over $37,000 to more than 70 students in need of aid.
Here is an update on where the money has been distributed:
- Over $8,000 has been disbursed for student food expenses
- Over $18,000 has been given to students to help pay for utilities, rent, and emergency aid
- And $11,000 worth of laptops have been distributed to students who did not have access to a personal computer.
Still, we have exhausted funds for food insecurity and are now seeing requests for help for summer scholarship. We are committed to helping these students during this time of crisis. Could you help us expand our effort by sharing The Resiliency Fund on social media?
Again, THANK YOU! We could not do it without you. Sending you my best wishes during this trying time.
